Target

In response to the implementation of the Act, nationwide GHG emission targets, and the enforcement of the Paris climate pact, the Tainan City Government also identified several reduction goals: for it’s the first-stage objective, GHG emissions should be 5% below the 2005 level by 2025, which equals 18.53million metric tons of carbon exhaust; for it’s the second-stage objective, GHG emissions should be 30% below the 2005 level by 2030, which equals 13.66 million metric tons of carbon exhaust; for the city's the third-stage target, GHG emissions should be 65% below the 2005 level by 2040, equaling 6.83 million metric tons of carbon exhaust. Finally, for the city's long-term target, GHG emissions should be 100% below the 2005 level by 2050, equaling net zero carbon exhaust
